You're a lucky man

Today is daddy's 40th Birthday and lately around the house I've heard a lot of discussion about getting old. It appears that daddy is not at all happy about turning 40. He's been very mopey and sad all week. Mommie says older men are hot? whatever that means? She keeps talking about 40-50 is the hot bracket for men? what on earth does that mean?

I know nothing of this age business or any concept of time etc. etc. They could say they'd been gone 10 minutes and I coulda sworn it was ALL DAY!! Thats why I spaz out every time they come home! But I will say this, I don't care how old he is...he'll always be the smartest, most sensitive and loving, thoughtful, strong, wise, quick and honorable daddy a man could ever be. Plus his beard tastes good after he eats. And something tells me all the other silly stuff doesn't really matter once you add up all the riches of your life ...like friends and family, and sunny days, naps, falling sleep on the da couch, PJ pants, dehydrated duck treats, wet food, pee breaks...you know..the good stuff.

So Happy Birthday Daddy....heres to many more and the rest of our life together.

This song is a birthday shout out to you, it reminds me of you and has an important message. I put the lyrics below in case you need them to follow along...

Happiness
More or less
It's just a change in me
Something in my liberty
Oh, my, my
Happiness
Coming and going
I watch you look at me
Watch my fever growing
I know just where I am

But how many corners do I have to turn?
How many times do I have to learn
All the love I have is in my mind?

But I'm a lucky man
With fire in my hands

Happiness
Something in my own place
I'm stood here naked
Smiling, I feel no disgrace
With who I am

Happiness
Coming and going
I watch you look at me
Watch my fever growing
I know just who I am

But how many corners do I have to turn?
How many times do I have to learn
All the love I have is in my mind?

I hope you understand
I hope you understand

Gotta love that'll never die

Happiness
More or less
It's just a change in me
Something in my liberty
Happiness
Coming and going
I watch you look at me
Watch my fever growing
I know
Oh, my, my
Oh, my, my
Oh, my, my
Oh, my, my

Gotta love that'll never die
Gotta love that'll never die
No, no
I'm a lucky man
